§ 22-114. Applicability of article to existing businesses.
(a)
Licensing requirements. All pre-existing adult establishments lawfully operating in the city in compliance with all state and local laws prior to the effective date of this article, and all adult establishment employees working in the city prior to the effective date of this article, are hereby granted a de facto temporary license to continue operation or employment for a period of 120 days following the effective date of this article. Within 90 days following the effective date of this article, all adult establishments and adult establishment employees must apply for a license under this article.
(b)
Interior configuration requirements. Any pre-existing adult establishment that is required to, but does not, have interior configurations or stages that meet at least the minimum requirements of section 22-111 and subsection 22-115(b) shall have 90 days from the effective date of this article to conform its premises to said requirements. During said 90 days, any employee who appears within view of any patron in a semi-nude condition shall nevertheless remain, while semi-nude, at least six feet from all patrons.
(c)
Other requirements. Except as provided for in subsections 22-114(a) and (b), adult establishments shall comply with this article on the date that it takes effect.
