§ 58-82. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Dealer means any person regularly engaged in the business of selling firearms. The intent of this division is that sales of antique weapons, sales to law enforcement officers and sales to persons regularly engaged in the manufacture, repair or sale of firearms are not subject to the requirements imposed by this division.
Firearm means any pistol, revolver, derringer, or short-barreled firearm less than 15 inches in length, by whatever name known, which is designed to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive, and a firearm muffler or a firearm silencer, or any part of such weapon.
Identification means any driver's license or photo identification authorized in lieu thereof, U.S. military identification card, U.S. passport or employee's identification card, provided the card contains the photo, signature, age and home address of the employee.
