§ 38-1. International Fire Code adopted.

  • The International Fire Code and subsequent editions and revisions of such code, with county amendments, are hereby adopted as a minimum standard for fire prevention in the city, except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter, and are hereby made a part of this chapter as fully and to the same extent as if copied in this section in full. A copy of such code shall be maintained on file in the office of the city clerk, said code shall be a public record and shall be available for inspection by the public. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the International Fire Code and the provisions of this Code, state law, or ordinances, rules or regulations, the provisions of this Code, state law, or ordinances, rules or regulations shall prevail and be controlling.
